You agree to pay the company the price as quoted on your Invoice. We are not VAT registered, hence VAT is not payable on any of our prices. We will inform you if we become VAT eligible.
Bookings & Deposits:
All orders and booking dates are only secured with a non-refundable deposit. Once deposits are received and cleared your booking date will then be fully secured. All wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of £50.00. Other celebration cakes require a non-refundable deposit of £20.00.
Full balance is due 2 weeks (celebration cakes) or 4 weeks (wedding cakes) prior to the cake delivery/collection date as specified on your Invoice. On your Invoice the date of the full balance will be included. Failure to make payment of the remaining balance may result in your order being cancelled and your date being made available to someone else. Payment methods accepted are cash, bank transfer or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to “Mrs Anna Bruce”. Please allow an additional 5 working days for cheques to be banked and cleared. Once payment has been received written confirmation will be sent to you.
Late or Non-Payments:
Late or non-payments could result in the loss of your booking date. In the event of a late or non-payment, the order will not proceed until funds have been paid in full. In these circumstances, subsequent completion of the order on the required date will not be guaranteed and becomes Subject To Availability.
Wedding cakes: 12 weeks or more: the non-refundable deposit of £50.00 will be retained. 4-12 weeks before: 50% of the total cost to be paid. Less than 4 weeks: 100% of the total cost to be paid.
Other celebration cakes: 2 weeks or more: the non-refundable deposit of £20.00 will be retained. Less than 2 weeks: 100% of the total cost to be paid.
Cancellations must be made in writing. Verbal phone cancellations will not be binding.
Change of Wedding Date:
If for any reason you wish to rearrange the date of your wedding, we will try our best to accommodate these changes without any additional charges provided sufficient notice is given and that we are able to provide a cake for the rearranged wedding date.
However, if we are fully booked on your new wedding date and cannot provide the wedding cake, it will not be possible to refund your deposit.
The limiting factor with any cake provision is usually the cake setup.
As a compromise, it may be possible to provide you with a cake prior to your wedding date, but under these circumstances it will become your responsibility to collect, deliver and set up the cake at the venue unless we and the venue are able to accomodate set up the day before the wedding. We are happy to speak directly with the venue to investigate possibilities.
If you cancel your wedding cake order with us after requesting a change of date which we are able to accommodate, standard cancellation policies will apply.
Change of Cake Design:
If you wish to change any previously agreed cake design as noted on the Invoice, we will try our best to accommodate these changes without any additional charges provided sufficient notice is given and material cost is of a similar value.
If any additional charges are required this will be discussed with you in full and a new Invoice and design visual will be generated for you.
We have a range of stands, and cupcake tower stands available for hire. All stands require a deposit of £20 in cash, which is fully refundable on the return of the hired stand. Any damages will be deducted from the deposit. In the event that damages are excessive, or a loss has occurred, then the deposit will be retained.
Collection: On the day of collection, your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time, as agreed. Should you wish to change the collection details we will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee availability.
Delivery: We will deliver at the time and venue agreed with the customer on the Invoice. If we cannot deliver because there is no one to receive the product or the address provided is in correct, we will retain the product for a maximum time of 24 hours.
Cakes should be inspected upon receipt to ensure that they were not damaged before collection/in transit. You (or any third party taking delivery e.g. wedding planner) shall be responsible for any damage to any products which occur after the delivery or collection of any product and/or as a result of failure to follow any instructions/advice we may give in respect of storage, setting up or transportation. Important information will be provided with all orders.
